Mesa County RSVP

At Mesa County RSVP, we partner with over 50 local non-profit organizations, filling essential positions with volunteers aged 55 and over.

Our volunteers are changing lives by providing their time and talents

to these organizations as well as our three Signature Programs.

Our Handyman program

provides labor to people in low-income situations and those with disabilities,

who need help installing safety features

in their homes.

Our SHIP program

provides free, unbiased, Medicare Counseling.

Our trained counselors work year-round to help educate people on their healthcare options.

Our Senior Scholar program

partners with public, private, and charter schools in the valley to support their students in reading, math, and science.

Our Story

We opened our doors in 1973 as part of Community Social Services of Colorado West. In that first year, we recruited and placed 100 volunteers. In the years since, we have worked with thousands of volunteers, placing them in opportunities that strengthen the community by addressing local needs.

In 2000, after being part of a few different organizations, we became self-sponsored. As a 501(c)3 charitable organization, we are funded by donations from individuals and businesses, as well as grants. RSVP is funded in part through AmeriCorps Seniors.

Our mission is to strengthen our community by engaging volunteers ages 55 and over!

Accountability, Life-long Learning, Integrity, Volunteerism, & Enjoyment

We are grateful to all of our donors, sponsors, and grantors. Without the support of this community, we could not continue to recruit volunteers to meet your needs.
